Principal Power Generation Engineer - Steam Turbine
Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Steam Turbine Fleet Team (STFT) within Engineering and Operations Support Services (EOSS). This role involves leading and making decisions for a large fleet of steam turbines across fossil and nuclear units. Key responsibilities include managing complex troubleshooting efforts, setting fleet-wide technical standards, and driving improvements in reliability, outage reduction, and operational efficiency.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities
- Manages one or more programs of complex diversity and scope that are critical to overall company objectives
- Acts as a subject matter expert
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 6+ years of relevant experience
