About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Principal PM API Platform to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the API platform roadmap including label creation, MCP, SDKs, and developer docs
- Define ownership and evolution of MCP as a product alongside other integration paths
- Maintain platform standards for API surface extension by product teams
- Set testing standards for developers integrating with various carriers
- Collaborate with engineering leadership on long-term platform architecture and technical investments
- Clarify and enhance the developer experience in onboarding, documentation, SDKs, and MCP capabilities
- Represent the platform in cross-team collaboration to ensure adherence to standards
- Engage with developers and mid-market customers to reduce integration friction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years in product management focused on developer-facing or API-first products
- Proven track record in establishing technical or platform standards adopted across teams
- In-depth knowledge of API design, developer experience, and SDK strategy
- Experience with MCP, agentic commerce, or LLM-driven integrations
- Background in shipping, logistics, or ecommerce infrastructure is a plus
Pay
$179,000 – $243,000 annually
