About the role
Fidelity Stock Transfer (FST) in Fidelity Labs is seeking a Principal Performance Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role involves building the technology and architecture of world-class end-to-end systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain services using Spring Boot
- Design and execute performance/load tests
- Debug and profile production-quality code
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
- Test cloud-native applications (containers, microservices)
- Improve observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Collaborate with design decisions based on performance insights
Requirements
- Strong Java development experience
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Experience with k6, Gatling, JMeter, or similar performance testing tools
- Familiarity with Node.js and frontend technologies (Angular, React)
- Experience testing cloud-native applications
- Knowledge of observability tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Pay
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
Schedule
