About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as the key link between the legal team, business partners, outside counsel, and other stakeholders
- Draft, review, and redline legal agreements that reside within the portfolio
- Ensure agreements and contract terms are consistent with Medtronic policies and with legal, regulatory and compliance advice
- Act as a liaison to business personnel, responding to routine questions and, where necessary, seeking feedback from additional resources needed to respond to questions
- Work closely with business functions to understand their needs and streamline legal processes
- Conduct legal and compliance research as directed by OU attorneys
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant paralegal experience to include experience drafting, redlining and negotiating contracts; or, an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience
- Nice to Have: Paralegal degree or certificate, experience working with moderate-to-complex agreements, solid understanding of general contract terms and conditions, strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, ability to successfully navigate within a highly matrixed organization, strong conflict resolution and influencing skills, builds relationships and maintains strong communication with cross-functional partners, demonstrated organizational skills and highly detail and process-oriented, experience with contract management lifecycle systems, experience dealing with highly confidential information with professionalism and absolute discretion, familiarity with advanced legal concepts and terminology, format of legal documents, legal research and writing is required, excellent interpersonal/communication skills (written and verbal), integrity and strong ethical character, tactful, exercises independent judgment and discretion – professional presentation, Prioritizes workload and manages client expectations to execute on critical priorities, Able to manage multiple, ongoing tasks, Works well under pressure in a dynamic environment
