Principal Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities

• Champion sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions aligned with business goals
• Act as a subject matter expert and technical leader in packaging engineering
• Drive complex, cross-functional projects to achieve strategic objectives
• Stay updated on technical trends and regulatory changes in packaging
• Align technical objectives for various projects and business units
• Manage multiple complex projects and prioritize effectively
• Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience
• or Master's/Doctorate with 7+ years
• Experience with government regulatory compliance, especially Extended Producer Responsibility and food processing regulations
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment capabilities, and advanced testing methodologies
• In-depth understanding of recyclable packaging design and physical package testing procedures
