Primary coverage on Mid-Corporate food and agribusiness companies throughout the Western United States. This role offers the opportunity to work with one of the top commercial banking agricultural lenders in the U.S. for 25 consecutive years.
About the role
- Develop, retain, and grow highly complex client relationships through relationship management by understanding the needs and priorities of clients and financial decision makers, responding quickly, communicating proactively, managing expectations, and soliciting feedback.
- Act as a subject matter expert to guide and influence others in growing relationships.
- Lead highly complex and substantial cash flow, real estate loans, and other industry-specific solutions with enterprise impact, high risk, or significant scope by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
- Lead the strategy and resolution for the full suite of most complex solutions offered by Wells Fargo to meet significant client needs across multiple areas of the enterprise, leveraging a deep understanding of clients' businesses, strategic objectives, and financial positions.
- Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding Commercial Banking Relationship Management strategies that influence the organization’s business and financial operations.
- Strategically lead professionals and managers across the enterprise to improve processes, resolve client issues, and represent the company externally as an expert; mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Drive relationship planning activities to deliver solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines by keeping information current in relevant systems.
- Strategically lead and support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new Commercial Banking clients by cultivating relationships through existing networks.
- Partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide expertise on client and market needs, enabling large-scale companywide strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Mid-Corporate Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience serving middle-market/mid-corporate Food & Agribusiness clients across the Western United States, including producers, processors, distributors, and agribusiness service providers.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific dynamics such as commodity price volatility, seasonal cash-flow cycles, water and land considerations, supply-chain risk, and regulatory factors impacting food and agricultural businesses.
- Proven ability to structure and manage credit solutions tailored to the unique operating and capital needs of Food & Agribusiness clients while partnering with internal product and risk teams.
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or must be completed within 180 days of hire if not immediately available).
Job Expectations
- Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate FINRA license(s) is required for ongoing employment; state registration, specific product licenses, or SAFE licensing may also apply.
- Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory.
- Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing.
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
- Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3.
- Successful candidates must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening and reporting of certain incidents.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Hybrid work schedule.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Pay
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
