Principal Manufacturing Engineer - OEE/SPC
About the role
We engineer the extraordinary to improve the lives of patients around the world. As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer focused on OEE and SPC, you will play a key role in advancing operational excellence across our manufacturing network.
Responsibilities
- Lead OEE and SPC deployment across manufacturing lines and processes
- Drive improvements in manufacturing performance, quality, and efficiency using a systems-based approach
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to plan, implement, and sustain operational improvements
- Coach teams on OEE and SPC methodologies, KPI standards, and continuous improvement practices
- Support process design, equipment optimization, and production readiness to meet business and regulatory requirements
- Cook up with internal teams, suppliers, and consultants to deliver implementation milestones
- Provide onsite leadership, including Hypercare support, to ensure adoption, data accuracy, and long-term sustainability
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of Operations, Manufacturing or Quality experience OR Master’s Degree with 5+ years OR PhD with 3+ years of experience
- Nice to have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Experience deploying OEE/SPC projects
- Experience with Continuous Improvement
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma certification

Pay
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
Schedule
