Principal, Major Event Strategy & Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Principal, Major Event Strategy & Operations to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will own the strategy and execution of major customer-facing events, including a flagship conference, with a focus on driving business impact across the organization. You will partner closely with sales, marketing, branding, and executive stakeholders to deliver high-profile experiences that support pipeline, engagement, and brand visibility. The position also requires strong measurement discipline, budget oversight, and the ability to translate event performance into insights that improve future programs. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually Responsibilities Own the end-to-end planning of the flagship customer conference Lead strategic execution for major events across various functions Develop event measurement scorecards and pipeline attribution models Create and maintain a speaker bureau with executive participation Coordinate post-event analysis to improve future events Manage integrated event plans with sales, marketing, and branding teams Qualifications 8+ years in B2B event marketing with complex event ownership Direct management of multi-day owned conferences for hundreds of attendees Experience building event measurement and pipeline attribution for finance approval Established speaker bureau or CFP program management Managed annual event budgets of $5M or more Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across departments Benefits Competitive salaries and bonus programs Comprehensive healthcare insurance Pension/retirement matching Life insurance coverage Employee assistance program Generous time off and paid company holidays Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
