About the role

Join a dynamic team at Esri where innovation meets impact. We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS development team. This role involves working on cutting-edge GIS projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the advancement of geographic information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain GIS applications using ArcGIS platform
  • Collaborate with project managers and other developers to design and implement GIS solutions
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing GIS applications
  • Support the testing and deployment of GIS solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Geomatics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in GIS development
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and Python
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of geospatial databases and data modeling
  • Understanding of web mapping technologies
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)

Skills

  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts and principles
  • Experience with GIS scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, KML, Shapefile)
  • Experience with geospatial data analysis and spatial statistics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
