About the role

We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Principal Infrastructure & Network Engineer to lead the evolution of SRP’s Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure supporting our power generation fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Performs as a leader/engineer on projects and programs which are large or have many complex features.
  • Prepares specifications, evaluates bids, and prepares recommendation materials for management consideration when evaluating large or complex procurements.
  • Performs as a staff consultant and/or advisor in a technical specialty.
  • Performs design, configuration, analysis, and studies in an area of technical specialty requiring a significant knowledge of related fields.
  • Provides technical discipline leadership when administering and reviewing work performed by consultants and others.
  • Makes recommendations based on analysis and evaluation of data.
  • May prepare and/or conduct written and oral reports and presentations.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and provides technical guidance to other engineers and technicians.
  • Serves as a liaison between Engineering, Operational Technology, and Information Technology (IT).
  • Represents SRP in legal and regulatory matters or proceedings of technical nature when required.
  • Demonstrates substantive thought leadership to further new ideas, products, services, and/or business processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates substantive leadership in organizational change management to foster the success of new business products, services, and/or business processes.
  • Supports the full lifecycle of network equipment and systems.
  • Supports root cause analysis work resulting in recommended corrective actions for management consideration.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience is required. In lieu of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 14 years may be considered.

  • Serves as an advisor and applies knowledge of strategies that can be deployed within own function and discipline.
  • Applies working knowledge of the theories and concepts in other disciplines.
  • May lead teams or projects with broad visibility.

  • Technical mastery in designing and implementing secure network architectures.
  • Strategic influence in shaping the network infrastructure for critical control systems.
  • Collaborative mindset in bridging Engineering, Operational Technology, and Information Technology (IT).
  • Leadership in promoting safety within department.
  • Active development and training of others on technical, project management, and/or best practices.

Competitive pay and performance incentives.

Schedule

Hybrid Workplace - Employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, can telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
