Principal Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Applies expert technology infrastructure knowledge and experience to research, recommend, design, and implement complex multi-vendor infrastructure solutions for the organization. Responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements, identifying broad design issues, and providing solutions that meet the organization’s needs. Develop, design, and implement secure, resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, network, cloud) aligned with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field required.
- 10 years of technical experience in enterprise server, storage, or cloud environments with at least two years in a senior or principal level role.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with enterprise compute systems, storage arrays, hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud platform as a service, and server virtualization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proficiency with network topologies, communication protocols, application delivery controllers, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor infrastructure engineers and administrators.
- Advanced infrastructure certifications desired.
