Job Description
L3Harris is seeking an influential and forward-thinking Principal HR Business Partner to play a critical role in shaping the people strategy for our Space & Mission Systems (SMS) Segment. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and their teams, driving HR initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and deliver impactful HR solutions across aligned functions. This position is ideal for a strategic, data-driven HR leader who enjoys solving complex organizational challenges while building strong relationships across the business. This is an on-site position located in Palm Bay, FL.
Essential Functions
- Provide primary HR strategic advice to multiple senior-level executives within the SMS Segment, offering consultative support on complex organizational, talent, and business challenges
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, provide data-driven insights that inform decision-making, and develop recommendations on organizational design. Create executive-level metrics and presentations to translate HR data into compelling business narratives and actionable insights
- Lead talent management and succession planning initiatives. Partner with leaders on talent decisions, and identify, assess, and develop high-potential talent to build robust leadership pipelines
- Design and implement targeted development strategies for critical roles and key talent
- Lead and influence organizational change initiatives and transformation efforts
- Drive initiatives to enhance organizational agility, collaboration, and performance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters, performance management, and sensitive organizational issues
- Lead and execute HR special projects and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with Corporate HR, Segment HR COEs, Sector HR, and cross-functional partners to drive best practices and innovative solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; OR, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience in dynamic, matrixed environments
