Principal HR Business Partner, Amazon Robotics

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Principal HR Business Partner to support Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics. The role works closely with teams inventing the world’s most advanced fulfillment network, coaching business clients, designing talent solutions, and advising executive leaders on organizational design strategies. The partner translates business priorities into high‑impact work, provides data‑driven recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent development, and drives strategic initiatives related to culture, inclusion, and organizational design.

Key responsibilities

• Improve organizational effectiveness and design, lead change management, and provide leadership coaching.
• Interpret business goals and recommend new approaches to talent acquisition and management.
• Write strategic narratives (e.g., organizational health, talent planning) that influence business decisions.
• Develop and execute talent planning strategies, including career development, retention, and recognition programs.
• Create and drive effective career development, retention, and recognition programs.
• Partner with senior management to act as culture champions and develop global HR strategies.
• Collaborate with international HR Business Partners to implement global initiatives.
• Interface at executive levels, providing coaching and mentorship to senior leaders.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while advancing initiatives.
• Apply creative problem‑solving that works backwards from the end customer and business client.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 12+ years of HR experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Mentoring team members on best practices.
• Proficiency with analytical tools and deep dive into metrics and reporting.
• Specific HR Business Partner experience supporting technology populations.
• Executive coaching experience and certification (e.g., International Coaching Federation).
• Strong business acumen, communication, and writing skills.
• Ability to lead a team of global HR Business Partners.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $154,700 – $209,300 USD annually (locations: North Reading, MA and Westboro, MA). The total compensation package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
