About the role
AWS is seeking a world-class sales professional to manage global customer relationships with our largest retail companies. The Global Account Manager will provide global business leadership and manage this global account, building and maintaining key relationships, developing and managing opportunities, monitoring deployment projects, and engaging virtual resources.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain key relationships with the customer's C-suite, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, impacting all business groups.
- Sell at the most strategic level within the account, implementing a broad strategy for customer acceptance and service implementation.
- Work with all appropriate AWS resources to support customer interests, including dotted-line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources.
- Engage with customer executives to share strategies that increase speed, agility, and innovation through AWS cloud technology.
- Guide customers on organizational design, IT modernization, and applying Amazon-style mechanisms to their business.
- Advise internal AWS teams on strategic initiatives, particularly in AI transformation and technology.
- Create content (blogs, whitepapers, presentations) sharing best practices for enterprise strategy and digital transformation for the IBU and AGS.
- Mentor leadership teams on how to drive change at scale.
- Input and provide feedback for product innovation to disrupt at scale across the portfolio.
- Understand GCP and Azure to stay competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in technology-related sales, business development, or similar field.
- 12+ years of technology-related sales, business development, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing large, complex enterprise accounts.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in software development and technical support.
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
