About the role

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is looking for an experienced Information Technology Assurance Specialist to join our fast-paced FSI Security and Compliance team and help drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers' Internal Audit teams, executives, and all stakeholders involved in AWS cloud adoption
  • Build deep relationships with global financial institutions, from enterprise banks to Fintech startups
  • Engage decision-makers at all levels during due diligence and audit processes
  • Demonstrate AWS best practices, tools, and frameworks that simplify customers' audit and due diligence processes
  • Showcase AWS AI technologies and automation that drive efficiency in assurance workflows
  • Develop tailored solutions addressing specific assurance requirements of financial services customers
  • Actively contribute to external organizations such as ISACA, Cloud Security Alliance, and other cloud technology risk bodies
  • Represent AWS at industry conferences and speaking engagements to shape cloud assurance best practices
  • Bring industry insights back to inform AWS strategy and customer engagements
  • Work cross-functionally with internal AWS teams to deliver best practices and requirements to customers
  • Drive internal stakeholders and SMEs to ensure timely delivery of customer audit needs
  • Respond and deliver due diligence and audit intake activity for customers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
  • 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • 5+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including, but not limited to End User Compute (EUC), Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service, Consumer Data Applications, Encrypted Communications, and/or Communication Developer Services experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading large enterprise transformations with AWS/cloud services
  • Leverage technology to drive process improvements
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience in handling internal & external audits
