About the role
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Financial Services team is looking for an experienced Information Technology Assurance Specialist to join our fast-paced FSI Security and Compliance team and help drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers' Internal Audit teams, executives, and all stakeholders involved in AWS cloud adoption
- Build deep relationships with global financial institutions, from enterprise banks to Fintech startups
- Engage decision-makers at all levels during due diligence and audit processes
- Demonstrate AWS best practices, tools, and frameworks that simplify customers' audit and due diligence processes
- Showcase AWS AI technologies and automation that drive efficiency in assurance workflows
- Develop tailored solutions addressing specific assurance requirements of financial services customers
- Actively contribute to external organizations such as ISACA, Cloud Security Alliance, and other cloud technology risk bodies
- Represent AWS at industry conferences and speaking engagements to shape cloud assurance best practices
- Bring industry insights back to inform AWS strategy and customer engagements
- Work cross-functionally with internal AWS teams to deliver best practices and requirements to customers
- Drive internal stakeholders and SMEs to ensure timely delivery of customer audit needs
- Respond and deliver due diligence and audit intake activity for customers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
- 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- 5+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including, but not limited to End User Compute (EUC), Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service, Consumer Data Applications, Encrypted Communications, and/or Communication Developer Services experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large enterprise transformations with AWS/cloud services
- Leverage technology to drive process improvements
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
- Experience in handling internal & external audits
