Financial Services Specialist

Responsibilities

• Gather, process, and review information from internal teams and external partners—such as insurance companies and attorneys—related to property damage liability.
• Collect, verify, and submit all required property damage claim documentation to the third-party administrator for recovery efforts.
• Compile, track, and analyze property damage claims and recovery data to support reporting and decision-making.
• Cook, coordinate with MoDOT staff and the third-party administrator to monitor claim status, manage documentation, and resolve issues.
• Review and interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, conducting research and analysis to understand their impact on accounting practices and financial systems related to property damage activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Planning, Public Administration, or related field, OR
• Four years of experience in positions related to multimodal transportation, federal or state grant program management, public or transportation administration, transportation planning, accounting, or financial analysis experience.

Entry salary is posted above, the intermediate salary $56,712.48, and senior salary of $61,249.44.
