About the Role
BAE is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join the Program Finance team. This role involves leading existing analysts, serving as a financial business partner for key programs, and assisting program managers with baseline development, performance monitoring, and corrective action planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead existing Analysts by example and take the lead on selected projects/initiatives.
- Serve as the financial business partner for several key programs.
- Assist program managers and teams with developing program baselines, monitoring performance, investigating root causes of variances, and developing corrective action plans.
- Provide financial decision support to key stakeholders to minimize risk and maximize program profit.
- Track, analyze, and report on projects of varying contract types, sizes, and complexity.
- Work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
- Utilize strong communication skills to interface with Program Management Organization (PMO) teams, project managers, technical staff, subcontractors, and customers.
- Manage project start-up, close-out, monthly program revenue, cost management, and profit recognition over the life of the program.
- Support project execution by performing financial analysis and other program support related to technical and business resources.
- Develop and review financial data for cost proposals, contract reviews, forecasts, and variance explanations.
- Participate in program and project reviews.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, DFAR/FAR, CAS, estimating systems, and disclosure statements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 6+ years of related work experience.
- Ability to lead existing Analysts by example while managing selected projects/initiatives.
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel).
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively across multiple finance and non-finance functions.
- Working knowledge of EACs, Budget Planning, and cost types/flows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project forecasting and analysis within a large defense contractor or manufacturing environment.
- DFARS Estimating System compliance knowledge.
- Hyperion Planning and Excel Smart View add-in experience.
- Oracle ERP experience.
- MBA or advanced degree.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $92,180 – $156,707
