Principal Faculty, Assistant/Associate Professor -Physician Assistant

About the role

This faculty role is a full-time Principal Faculty position and will be an integral part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation, implementation, and delivery of curriculum and student assessment in the didactic and clinical phases of the program.
• Assist in the preparation of ARC-PA application and documentation.
• Participate in the ongoing program evaluation necessary for accreditation compliance.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of the program’s mission statement, goals, outcomes, and competencies.
• Direct and/or co-direct courses, including the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of individual courses.
• Teach in classroom and small group settings.
• Develop and participate in student assessment, evaluation, and remediation.
• Provide advising and academic counseling to students.
• Contribute to the student admissions process, including application evaluation, interviews, and selection of matriculating students.
• Participate in site visits to clinical preceptors, and other activities in the clinical phase of the program, as needed.
• Participate in PA Program committees as assigned.
• Serve on Creighton University and School of Medicine committees, as requested.
• Participate in scholarly activity in areas of interest.

Requirements

• PA‑C certification.
• Master’s degree.
• Arizona state licensure (or license‑eligible).
• 3+ years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience teaching in Physician Assistant education preferred.
