Principal EVMS Analyst
Leidos is seeking an accomplished Principal EVM Analyst to provide strategic earned value management leadership to support our Engineering & Advanced Hypersonics Division within the Kinetic Effects Business Area of the Leidos Defense Sector Organization. This role offers direct Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) leadership and contribution to critical programs and related portfolios of work.
About the role
The ideal candidate is a recognized professional EVM analyst with a strong understanding of inter-company functional relationships. You will interface with individual contributors, program finance analysts (PFAs), schedulers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Program Managers, and division executives. This position provides hands-on EVM support and guidance while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. You will establish, maintain, and grow key government customer relationships and help drive program growth and execution of the business rhythm.
The Principal EVMS Analyst will be an integral part of the Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE), leading and executing core responsibilities in scheduling, planning, EVMS, infrastructure, tools, implementations, training, and surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Execute program EVMS policies and practices.
- Support internal and external surveillance, audits, and reviews in coordination with the Director of Surveillance.
- Support the organization’s EVMS talent development, performance management, and business strategy.
- Support programs in operational decisions and provide advice on enhancing portfolio performance.
- Align and integrate material management and manufacturing practices with traditional scheduling and EVMS best practices for improved program management solutions.
- Utilize expert domain knowledge to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions, and standards.
- Support the EVM Team with a thorough understanding of EVMS, deliverable content, and issue identification/resolution.
- Regularly interact with senior executive leadership on matters of strategic importance to the organization/project.
- Negotiate and develop shared solutions to convince internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices, and approaches.
- Interface significantly with Program Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical Personnel, and other organizations.
- Participate in new business proposals through EVMS requirements, schedule support, and providing input for cost volumes to management.
Requirements
- BA degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s with 10+ years within DOD as a Prime Contractor.
- Advanced expertise using OPDEC IPM/Deltek Cobra EVM tools.
- Experience with IPMDAR formats and leading variance narrative efforts.
- Subcontractor data integration experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Huntsville, Alabama as needed, with travel required.
Qualifications
- OPDEC IPM experience.
- Active and current DoD Secret clearance.
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, Lookups, etc.).
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Production/Prototyping environment.
- Power BI proficiency.
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Pay
Pay Range: $116,350.00 - $210,325.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
