Principal EP Mapping Specialist, CAS-Philly
This position is based in the United States and combines clinical expertise, technical knowledge, and customer partnership to improve procedural outcomes and patient experiences in cardiac care.
About the role
The Principal EP Mapping Specialist will play a critical role in advancing cardiac care by supporting physicians and healthcare teams in the use of innovative electrophysiology mapping and navigation technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac mapping systems, a passion for medical innovation, and the ability to translate complex technology into effective clinical solutions. As a regional technical expert, you will influence best practices, support adoption of advanced solutions, and contribute to the advancement of electrophysiology care.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and technical support to physicians and healthcare staff on EP mapping, navigation systems, and related technologies.
- Train physicians, hospital personnel, and clinical teams on product functionality, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote safe and effective use of cardiac ablation and mapping solutions through education and ongoing support.
- Serve as a technical resource for complex clinical cases, troubleshooting, and procedural guidance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Partner with sales and regional teams to identify opportunities, support customer engagement, and drive adoption of solutions.
- Collaborate with account managers and clinical teams to plan and execute customer training initiatives.
- Act as a regional technology champion by sharing expertise, supporting peers, and promoting proficiency with advanced mapping systems.
- Represent the organization professionally while providing exceptional service and technical guidance to customers.
- Support ongoing innovation by providing feedback and insights from clinical environments.
Requirements
- High school diploma with at least 10 years of related experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; or an Associate degree with at least 8 years of related experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience.
- Strong experience working with cardiac mapping and navigation systems.
- Background in electrophysiology labs, cardiac catheter ablation procedures, hospitals/clinics, or EP medical technology support.
- Experience providing technical training and clinical education to healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technology clearly.
- Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical challenges in clinical settings.
- Ability to work independently while managing responsibilities across an assigned territory.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, cardiovascular sciences, life sciences, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience in technical sales support or medical device environments is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance required.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
