Principal Engineer Systems Test - Top Secret Required

About the role

This role supports the system integration, test, and early-use of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines. It involves shift work and collaboration with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Performs software testing on the DARC radar system.
• Reviews and updates Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) within tech manuals and training documentation.
• Prepares test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Ensures effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
• Supports the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Supports early use training on DARC radar system.
• Participates in, prepares, and executes comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
• Reviews system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and complete.
• Reports to the system integration and test lead.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on satellite operations and/or missile defense operations experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or, 0 years with a master’s degree in a STEM field.
• Experience working as part of an Integration and Test or Operations team across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements.
• Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures.
• Experience preparing test reports.
• The ability to travel

Qualifications

Skills

• Experience with hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations.
• Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items.
• Experience documenting and recording integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies.
• International integration and/or test experience.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner).
• Experience with large ground data processing systems integration.
• Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration.

Pay

The primary work location will be Eglin, Fl. The primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
