This onsite position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Relocation assistance may be available. A Secret clearance is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). Travel is expected up to 25% of the time.
About the role
Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Engineer Electronics. This role involves developing and executing the program as a Supplier/Subcontract Manager (SMT) for Communications (COMMs) Avionics Subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Manage program requirements to ensure supplier compliance with program and avionics design, test, documentation, and hardware requirements for COMMs subsystems.
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Collaborate with subcontract engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
- Develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related engineering experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
