Principal Electrical Engineer
About the role
As a Principal Electrical Engineer on our Instrumentation and Control Systems Systems team, you will lead engineering activities for Eagle Hardware Systems across multiple complex projects. You will support both new development and legacy microprocessor-based Eagle Safety Systems used in nuclear power plant monitoring and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute advanced hardware engineering design, analysis, and problem solving.
- Provide technical leadership throughout design, development, training, and delivery of complex engineering solutions.
- Support and enhance legacy Eagle Safety Systems, including board and component level obsolescence mitigation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues, including remote support.
- Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, contributing to team capability development.
- Cook up and coordinate project efforts across multi-functional teams to ensure successful integration and delivery.
- Manage complex technical projects: prepare technical descriptions, maintain schedules, direct resources, and oversee deliverables.
- Create and refine procedures, processes, and methods to meet technical requirements.
- Prepare and deliver presentations for project updates, issue resolution, and product promotion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in both digital and analog hardware design
- Experience with Altium schematic capture and layout
- Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and influence engineering teams
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200.00 to $129,000.00 per year.
