Principal Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

TTM is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis related to the design, development and implementation
• Develop new/complex system-level hardware architecture
• Work with Systems/SW Engineering to develop the best solution to fit budget/schedule
• Investigate new technology in industry to create architecture
• Estimate resource utilization
• Ultimately responsible for all hardware requirements
• Identify HWCIs within system architecture
• Guide generation of hardware requirements
• Define performance level requirements
• Define test environment
• Develop verification matrix
• Provide “expert” services to the organization
• Responsible for product line development of hardware
• Support Advanced Systems in scoping out future product development
• Lead teams of electrical engineers through technology and IP development
• Act as a critical technical resource for the company throughout engineering
• Mentor other engineers

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary

Pay

Compensation range: $164,629 - $289,521; annual or quarterly company bonus may apply; shift premium for alternative shift.
