Principal Consultant, Digital Sourcing Solutions

The Principal Consultant, Digital Sourcing Solutions will help organizations transform their technology strategies through innovative sourcing models, operational improvements, and digital solutions. Accountabilities

• Lead or support consulting engagements focused on IT strategy, sourcing optimization, technology modernization, and business transformation.
• Assess client business needs and translate requirements into effective digital sourcing and IT delivery strategies.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client executives and technology service providers.
• Lead technology assessments, IT strategy initiatives, architecture reviews, and modernization programs across areas such as cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on technology sourcing, vendor management, negotiations, delivery models, and operational improvements.
• Develop project plans, methodologies, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and risk management approaches.
• Perform market analysis, benchmarking, current-state assessments, gap analysis, opportunity identification, and delivery model evaluations.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies, including vendor selection processes, contract lifecycle activities, and service delivery optimization.
• Support negotiations and development of sourcing agreements covering financial terms, performance metrics, governance models, resources, and service management.
• Guide clients through sourcing lifecycle activities, including assessment, strategy development, vendor evaluation, and implementation support.
• Manage engagement execution using established consulting frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality client outcomes.

Requirements

• Experienced technology consultant with strong expertise in sourcing strategy, digital transformation, and complex IT environments.
• 8+ years of experience delivering large-scale, complex consulting engagements involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and delivery models.
• 5+ years of experience in IT management, technical delivery leadership, or complex operations environments.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and senior technology executives.
• Strong understanding of IT sourcing strategies, managed services, vendor management, and technology optimization.
• Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas: Enterprise agility and DevOps, Cloud architecture and design, Cloud computing models including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, Application virtualization, modernization, and rationalization, Analytics, automation, and Internet of Things (IoT), Enterprise architecture, Application development, maintenance, and support, Data center operations, Managed network services, Workplace services and service desk operations, Technology modernization initiatives.
• Experience using contract lifecycle management tools such as Ariba or Coupa.
• Ability to analyze complex business challenges and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with major consulting firms is a plus.
