About The Role

We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to evaluate cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP — identifying the IAM misconfigurations, design gaps, and privilege risks that create real-world exposure. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced cloud security professionals who can operate independently, think architecturally, and communicate complex findings with clarity.

What You'll Do

  • Assess cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security weaknesses and design flaws
  • Review IAM configurations, network segmentation strategies, and resource-level policies
  • Identify misconfigurations, privilege escalation risks, and insecure architectural patterns
  • Produce structured, actionable mitigation guidance that engineering and security teams can act on
  • Validate cloud environments against established security frameworks and industry best practices
  • Support recurring assessments of evolving cloud environments and deployment patterns
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear, well-documented reports for varied audiences

What You Bring

  • Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture across one or more major cloud platforms
  • Strong command of IAM design, network segmentation, and cloud-native service models
  • Proven ability to identify architectural risk and document findings in a structured, professional format
  • Comfortable working independently and delivering high-quality output without close supervision

Nice To Have

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments and cross-platform security design
  • Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and implementation patterns
  • Background in high-compliance environments such as FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOC 2
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or CISSP

Why Join Us

  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, substantive engagements
  • Work on complex, real-world cloud environments where your expertise makes a measurable difference
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as assessments continue to scale
