About The Role

What if your deep expertise in cloud security could directly protect the infrastructure that millions of people and organizations rely on every day? We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to take a hard, expert look at large-scale cloud environments — finding the architectural risks, misconfigurations, and design flaws that others miss before they become critical vulnerabilities. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior cloud security professionals who think in systems, communicate with clarity, and know how to turn complex findings into actionable guidance.

Focus: Cloud Security Architecture Assessment across AWS, Azure, and GCP

What You'll Do

• Evaluate cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security gaps and design weaknesses
• Review IAM configurations, network segmentation, and resource policies for privilege risks and insecure patterns
• Identify misconfigurations, architectural flaws, and long-term security design gaps
• Produce clear, structured documentation of findings with prioritized mitigation guidance
• Validate cloud environments against established security frameworks and industry best practices
• Support recurring assessments across cloud environments and evolving deployment patterns

Must-Have

• Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture — you've seen what good and bad look like at scale
• Strong command of IAM models, network design principles, and cloud service models across major providers
• Ability to translate complex architectural findings into clear, structured, actionable reports
• Methodical and thorough — you don't just spot problems, you explain why they matter and how to fix them

Nice To Have

• Experience with multi-cloud environments and cross-platform security strategy
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and implementation
• Background in high-compliance environments (FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, etc.)
• Security certifications such as CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or CISSP
