Principal Cloud Security Architect

About The Role

We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to dig into large-scale cloud environments, uncover hidden risks, and deliver the kind of structured, actionable guidance that security teams actually use. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior cloud security professionals who thrive on complexity and know how to translate technical findings into clear strategic direction.

Focus: AWS, Azure, GCP — architecture review, IAM, risk assessment

What You'll Do

• Evaluate cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security gaps, design flaws, and long-term risk exposure
• Review IAM configurations, network segmentation, resource policies, and access control models
• Identify misconfigurations, privilege escalation risks, and insecure architectural patterns
• Produce clear, structured reports that translate complex findings into prioritized mitigation guidance
• Validate alignment with established security frameworks, industry best practices, and compliance standards
• Support recurring assessments of cloud environments and evolving deployment patterns
• Communicate architectural recommendations in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Must-Have

• Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture at scale
• Strong command of IAM models, network design, and cloud service security across one or more major platforms
• Proven ability to document complex architectures and findings in clear, structured, and actionable form
• Sharp eye for identifying what's broken, what's risky, and what's just waiting to be exploited

Nice To Have

• Experience with multi-cloud environments spanning two or more major providers
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and implementation patterns
• Background in high-compliance industries such as finance, healthcare, or government
• Relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, CISSP, or similar)
