About the Role

What if your years of clinical trial expertise could directly shape how AI reasons about medical evidence, regulatory submissions, and patient outcomes? We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level rigor to cutting-edge AI research — ensuring the clinical data and analyses powering next-generation AI systems meet the standards expected in real-world regulatory environments.

What You'll Do

  • Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready training datasets for AI systems
  • Interpret and audit clinical trial results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory expectations
  • Provide expert, structured feedback that directly improves how AI models reason about clinical trial data, endpoints, and outcomes
  • Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Senior-level experience designing clinical trial protocols for regulatory submission
  • Deep expertise interpreting clinical data for agencies such as the FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory bodies
  • Strong background in clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
  • Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, rigorous approach to scientific evaluation
  • Clear and precise written communicator comfortable providing structured, actionable feedback

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning workflows in clinical or biomedical contexts
  • Background in pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, or health technology assessment
  • Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas or global regulatory jurisdictions

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems making a real impact on clinical and biomedical research
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, high-stakes scientific work
  • Influence how AI understands, evaluates, and communicates real-world clinical evidence
  • Collaborate with leading AI research teams and labs at the cutting edge of the field
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
