Principal Business Consultant - Life Sciences R&D

About the role

The Role As a Principal Consultant in R&D, you will help customers bring treatments to patients faster by transforming how they work with Technology, Data, and AI. You will focus on reshaping operating models, driving organizational change, and measuring tangible business value. R&D is a broad area that includes several distinct practices: Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance. You will focus in one of these practices based on your background, interests, and needs of the business. You will build credibility, depth, and relationships in that practice, and become a thought leader for the industry.

Responsibilities

• Project Mastery: Act as the Lead for Veeva BC’s largest and most complex global projects, maintaining full accountability for excellence across multiple teams
• Strategic Growth: Lead and own Business Development, focusing on architecting and winning key deals exceeding $1M+
• People Leadership: Manage and mentor high-performing consulting teams, taking responsibility for the professional growth and delivery standards of the practice
• Thought Leadership: Develop and champion industry-leading thought leadership in your practice to keep Veeva at the cutting edge of Life Sciences
• Customer Success: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, leveraging Veeva’s data and software to solve their most critical challenges

Requirements

• Experience: 10+ years of Life Sciences Consulting experience (Management Consulting preferred)
• Track Record: Proven ability to win and deliver $1M+ consulting engagements
• Expertise: Deep domain knowledgebiopharma ClinOps, ClinData, Regulatory, or Pharmacovigilance, and a comprehensive understanding of the Life Sciences landscape
• Leadership: Extensive experience managing multiple project teams and senior-level customer relationships
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Veeva products
• Experience delivering SaaS or Tech-enabled consulting solutions

Pay

Compensation Base pay: $120,000 - $250,000

The schedule is flexible and can be worked from home or the office on any given day.
