About the role

Maine School Administrative District #60 is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Principal for Noble Middle & High School. The district seeks a candidate who has demonstrated a commitment to leading a talented, student-centered, and mission-driven staff and prioritizing academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other administrators, staff, and community members
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Exhibit an extensive understanding of school leadership, supervision, and evaluation
• Possess in-depth knowledge of curriculum, curriculum development processes, teaching, and assessment
• Demonstrate appreciation for and sensitivity to diversity among individuals
• Advance student achievement and growth
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and ideologies consistent with standards-based and proficiency-based education practices
• Inspire and motivate staff and students to perform at their highest potential
• Build and maintain strong parent-school-community relationships
• Manage activities that contribute to the effectiveness of the secondary educational experience
• Support Noble High School's longstanding commitment to personalized learning through its:
• school design (school-within-a-school model, heterogeneous grouping, teaming, and common planning time)
• system of proficiency-based teaching and learning
• academic and social supports
• multiple learning pathways

Qualifications

• Hold appropriate Maine State Certification
• Have a minimum of five years as a teacher
• Have a minimum of five years of administrative experience

Benefits

Noble Middle & High School is located in North Berwick, Maine, and serves the communities of Berwick, North Berwick, and Lebanon. Noble is a 7-12 school with 1,250 students housed in two heterogeneously grouped academies made up of grade-level teams and houses. Our school features student-centered learning, multiple pathways to success, one-to-one technology, a teacher leadership team, a proficiency-based system of teaching and learning, performance-based assessments, student-led conferences, and a final student capstone presentation.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
