About the Community

The Duke of Marlborough School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school located in Churchill, Manitoba with approximately 100 students. This historic, dynamic community with a population of nearly 1,000 people has all modern services and facilities. The facilities are unique in that the hockey rink, curling rink, swimming pool, bowling alley, community gymnasium, indoor playground, hospital and theatre are in the same community complex as the school. Known as the polar bear capital of the world, Churchill is one of Manitoba's top tourist destinations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
• Master's degree in education/administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset
• At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administrative experience
• Previous success with development and implementation of short and long-term school-based plans
• A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
• Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
