About the role

The Principal at Devereux works with a team of educational staff to support their professional development. Responsibilities include leading the daily operations of the school program, analyzing the suitability of the educational program for students' needs, implementing curriculum revisions, overseeing student progress reports, and assisting in budget preparation.

Responsibilities

• Supports the daily operations of the school program
• Analyzes the suitability of the educational program for students' needs
• Implements curriculum revisions as necessary
• Serves as a resource for students' progress reports and evaluations
• Attends and participates in case reviews and treatment team meetings
• Assists in the budget preparation for the Education Department
• Provides direct supervision to lead teachers and administrative assistant

Requirements

• M.A. or M.S. in Special Education or related field with a School District Administration certificate
• Three years related experience with IDD population
• Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances
• Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 70 lbs. or more
• Ability to single-handedly effect the initial restraint of children and adolescents weighing between 75 and 150 lbs.
• Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens

Qualifications

• Education: M.A. or M.S. in Special Education or related field with certificate in School Administration and Supervision or School District Administration
• Experience: Three years related experience with IDD population

Pay

$97,658.26 - $104,494.33, commensurate with experience
