Duties
As Principal- CE-1710, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Schedules and coordinates work assignments for professional and non/para-professional employees across school functions.
- Supervises and directs the work of employees, including providing training opportunities and addressing disciplinary concerns.
- Selects employees and oversees their performance management.
- Manages financial aspects of school operations, including the development and implementation of programs and projects.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with teachers, parents, pupils, and the community.
- Evaluates personnel, programs, and pupils using appropriate measurement instruments and empirical data.
- Formulates school policies and procedures aligned with state accreditation requirements, Bureau standards, and student recruitment.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Maintains valid Principal (or equivalent Administrator) licensure/certification in the State where the position is located.
- Must meet certification standards for the position in the state where the position is located.
- May be required to operate a government-owned or leased motor vehicle as an incidental duty.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with a minimum of 12 graduate semester hours in School Administration from an accredited institution.
- Four (4) years of experience in school administration, teaching, counseling, or other professional education experience.
- Valid State issued Principal (or equivalent Administrator) licensure or certification in the State where the position is located.
Pay, Schedule, Benefits
Pay setting is determined AFTER selection process and in compliance with personnel provisions outlined in 62 BIAM, Chapter 11 and HR Policy Memos. Travel and relocation expenses WILL NOT be paid. Direct Deposit of pay is required. Government Quarters MAY be available. This position is EXEMPT from Fair Labor Standards Act. A Recruitment Incentive is NOT offered.
