Responsibilities

  • To be a Principal Architectural leader for the design and delivery of major projects.
  • To interface regularly with architectural and engineering leaders across North America to thrive and contribute within the integrated design practice.
  • Sustain and grow revenue within the Indo-Pacific region and collaborate across the North American market, helping to attract top tier clients and achieve top line growth for the Federal sector.
  • Collaborate with technical and managerial project leads to achieve key operational performance metrics including traditional financial metrics as well as demonstrating improved outcomes for the projects we deliver.
  • Manage and lead the growth of our Indo-Pacific delivery and execution hub.
  • Play a critical role in advancing Stantec’s success across multiple NAVFAC and USACE contracts in the West and Indo-Pacific regions.
  • Manage complex projects ranging from $30 million to over billion dollars in construction value, utilizing sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and proven project delivery methods.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated design and planning acumen and leadership on major projects.
  • Experience with strategic pre-positioning for pursuits inclusive of engagement strategies, responding to Expression of Interests, Statements of Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, formal interviews, and professional fee and contract negotiations.
  • Strong business development skills, including significant experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with a client base—a seller-doer capable of generating work and creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients for Stantec.
  • An entrepreneurial orientation with strong understanding of the business development challenges of a consulting-services provider.
  • Knowledge of Federal specific codes and criteria and familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, coordination, leadership, team-building and team engagement talent.
  • Knowledge of market assessment techniques and insights along with ability to create aspirational and achievable business plans.

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with APD project delivery methodologies including but not limited to design-build, progressive design-build, and design-build to budget.
  • Federal project experience preferred especially experience with Department of Defense (DoD).
  • U.S. Licensed and credentialed Architect or Professional Engineer. Hawaii licensure is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
  • LEED AP Credential preferred.
  • PMP Credential preferred.
