About The Job We are currently seeking a principal-level scientist or engineer to support our growing air quality practice in our Toxicology, Health and Economic Sciences business area. The position will support multiple clients on a diverse set of air quality projects throughout the US. Expectations include business development activities, direct client communications, strategic project plan development, and project management and delivery. The successful candidate will be adept with technical writing and presenting and/or publishing their work through science conferences and peer-reviewed journals. This position may offer in-office, remote, or hybrid opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization. Responsibilities Your job functions will include but not be limited to: Leading technical delivery of air quality permitting and compliance projects associated with regulatory programs such as PSD, Title V, NSR, and state regulations, such as CEQA Serving in a leadership role responsible for technical delivery and growth of the air quality practice Leading or participating in client and regulatory agency meetings Communicating with personnel in other business practices within Integral to facilitate cross selling of services Managing the budget, quality, and delivery for air quality projects Supervising and mentoring technical staff Assisting with recruitingPromoting a collegial and safe workplace environment. Requirements Qualifications Candidates should hold an advanced degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, meteorology, atmospheric sciences, or similar field. The Ideal Candidate Will Have 15+ years of experience in program/project management within an air quality practiceDemonstrated proficiency in assisting clients with regulatory compliance within multiple national and state regulatory programs Experience and understanding of air quality consulting to a wide array of markets sectors, including commercial, industrial and governmental, and the ability to capture market share with these sectorsA well-established client network of long-standing work relationships Experience with program level leadership, project team management, and project delivery Ability to delegate and manage project tasks efficiently and effectively to project support team members A willingness to mentor junior staff in career growthExcellent written and oral communication skillsA desire to grow both intellectually and professionallyStrong organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Compensation is commensurate with experience and internal equity, within the listed range. An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary; company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) participation with a company match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation; company-paid life and short- and long-term disability insurance; paid sick leave (10 days), paid vacation (20 days), and paid holidays (9 days) per year; and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be prorated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
