Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, economics, or a closely related field with at least 24 semester units or 36 quarter units of accounting coursework that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system.
- Experience: Four (4) years of full-time, paid professional accounting experience equivalent to that gained as an Accountant with Fresno County, one (1) year of which must have been in a lead capacity over professional accounting staff.
- Substitution: Possession of a master's degree that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system may substitute for one (1) year of the required Accountant experience.
- Licenses: Possession of a valid driver's license may be required.

Selection Process
- Pursuant to Fresno County Personnel Rule 4 - Selection Process, applicants may be required to complete an examination process and successful candidates will be placed on an employment list effective for a minimum of 3 months and certified in final rank order as vacancies occur.
- Tentative Exam Dates: July 21-22, 2026
- Tentative Interview Dates: July 27-31, 2026
- Additional interviews, including those with other departments, will be scheduled as needed.
