About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Global Account Manager to support our US Commercial customers. In this role, you will help drive the growth and shape the future of leading technology for our Worldwide Public Sector customers. You will build a close partnership with one of the largest ISV customers, driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in strategic commercial verticals. Responsibilities include developing business and go-to-market strategies, collaborating across AWS teams, and engaging with customers and prime contractors to influence and accelerate adoption. The role requires experience in sales, opportunity management, business development, and accelerating complex sales cycles. The ideal candidate will thrive in entrepreneurial and highly matrixed environments, translate customer requirements into technology solutions, and have a track record of growing government programs. This position requires US citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Set a strategic sales plan for target markets aligned with AWS strategic direction.
- Drive revenue and market share within the global account business area.
- Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
- Identify specific prospects, partners, and channels, communicating the value proposition for their business and use case.
- Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team to drive adoption of the AWS market and technical strategy.
- Understand technical considerations and certifications specific to the public sector.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
- Ensure customer success using AWS web services, providing necessary technical resources.
- Understand customer technical requirements and guide the internal development team on product direction.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding quarterly and yearly strategies to align with revenue growth expectations.
- Accelerate customer adoption and satisfaction.

Requirements
- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
- 8+ years of business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management experience.
- Experience positioning and selling technology to new customers and market segments.
- Experience building new customer relationships.
- Experience with customer relationship management, especially C-suite engagement.
- Experience working with large global teams.
- Experience managing complex projects or programs within a matrix environment.
- US citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of exceeding quota and key performance metrics.
- Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies.
Pay
- USA, CO, Denver: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
- USA, IL, Chicago: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
- USA, MA: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
- USA, NJ, Jersey City: $187,000.00 - $252,900.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
