About the role
The Prin TSO Ops Support Specialist, Compliance & Procedures is responsible for developing Exelon transmission control room procedures, ensuring compliance with NERC reliability standards, mentoring, and overseeing the Transmission Ops Support (TOS) Compliance and Procedures team members. They also support special projects, strategic decision-making, and influence external organizations and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, oversee, and execute annual NERC standards self-assessment and procedure review plans for one control center or enterprise-wide
- Lead and support multi-opco special projects such as NERC/PJM audits, Opco alignment initiatives, procedure consolidations, compliance investigations, NERC Event Analysis, etc.
- Act as subject matter expert on compliance and procedure writing and development for assigned control center, and in some cases enterprise-wide
- Mentor, develop, and oversee other team members and control room training on procedures and compliance related topics
- Support CIP compliance related activities such as quarterly visitor log reviews and PSP access requests
- Influence external organizations and regulatory agencies via participation in committees such as PJM Working Groups/Task Forces and NERC Committees to influence policy development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or job-related technical field plus 8-10 years of experience, or 12-14 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the operation, planning, design, or maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment
- Advanced knowledge and use of computer systems and applications in the Microsoft suite of products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Teams)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to coordinate activities with other Energy Delivery departments, PJM, and Generating Plants
- Demonstrated teamwork and strong interpersonal skills
