Prime Air Sr. Maintenance Technician , Amazon Prime Air
About the role
Prime Air is seeking an experienced Senior Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. This role involves all drone maintenance and routine service at the commercial operation location, ensuring the aircraft conforms to design and is in safe operating conditions. The candidate will work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to deliver assigned responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
- Own fleet performance metrics
- Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
- Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
- Train and mentor other Repair Technicians
- Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
- Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
- Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals
Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
- Experience guiding, training, and mentoring others
- Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Show a demonstrated record of good attendance and the ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments
Qualifications
- Basic qualifications: 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience, experience guiding, training, and mentoring others, experience with common business applications and tools, can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, travel up to 25% of the time, work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, show a demonstrated record of good attendance and the ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts, work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments
- Prioritization: 2+ years of aviation industry experience, experience in installing sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files, experience in business communication skills, experience in Robotics and Manufacturing engineering

Pay
The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
