About the role

Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician to maintain and service drones, ensuring aircraft conform to design specifications and operate safely. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
  • Demonstrate understanding of fleet performance metrics
  • Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
  • Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
  • Demonstrate a proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
  • Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

Requirements

  • Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Willingness to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
  • Experience with common business applications and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Word, Excel)
  • This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • This position may be subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing if conducting safety-sensitive functions as defined by the FAA

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience installing sub-assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files
  • Experience in the aviation industry
  • Strong business communication skills
  • Experience in robotics and manufacturing engineering

Pay

Starting pay for this position is $33.00 USD hourly, including base pay and the highest available shift differential. Additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay.
