A Primary School Teacher is ready to fulfill the Mission of St. Clement Orthodox Christian Academy in the following ways:

Disciple Children

Train in discernment
Provide robust Liberal Arts academic instruction that is distinctly Christian
Use the Trivium* to train in the art of words
Use the Quadrivium** to train in the art of numbers

Meet academic objectives
Tailor learning to the individual child
Equip students in critical thinking
Engage with families
Communicate effectively
Give timely feedback on academic progress
Give timely feedback on discipline

Create an annual mapping for all courses of instruction

Submit weekly lesson plans

Consistently assess students for progress through approved means

Study all material deeply to become a "living curriculum"

Facilitate deep study of various subjects in the classroom

Animate material to engage students

Enter grades within 48 hours for timely feedback

Attend all designated faculty trainings

Attend all designated faculty meetings

Observe struggling students and make recommendations to the administration for suggested learning goals

Foster a well ordered atmosphere through classroom discipleship

Maintain a well organized classroom

Ensure students are active learners both mentally and physically.

Demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills sufficient for professional interaction with students, parents, faculty, and staff
Preference will be given to applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university in the United States
A heart for the gospel

A robust background in humanities and or willingness to study intentionally
An understanding of numbers

A desire to train and equip the next generation
A natural intuition in the classroom
