Primary School Building-Based Substitute Teacher

Overview

A Building-Based Substitute Teacher will be assigned to our Primary School (K-2).

ECS substitute teachers must have strong teaching abilities, an understanding of pedagogy and instructional practices in their respective field of education, and a strong interest in environmental studies.

Educational Background and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• PA teacher certification. Out-of-state certification must be approved by the PA Dept. of Education
• Familiarity with charter schools and primary grade levels

Compensation and Benefits

Salary of $36,758 plus participation in a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, and participation in a generous 403b retirement plan.

• Arrest/Conviction Disclosure
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Clearance (Act 34)
• FBI Criminal Background Check (114)

Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandated Reporter Training will also be required.
