About the Role

Leads a production line and performs all duties of the production department in a reliable and conscientious manner, following standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all operators within their assigned department are in the proper position throughout the shift.
  • Escalates personnel issues such as safety, quality, attendance, or conduct to their shift supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Provides on-the-job training to operators within their assigned department.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds daily production functions under no direct supervision.
  • Cross-trained to perform all essential job functions in all areas of the assigned department.
  • Displays aptitude and ability to cover for the Production Supervisor.
  • Evaluates, troubleshoots, and corrects equipment or components causing production delays.
  • Consistently follows GMP standards, SOPs, and safety standards.
  • Able to efficiently set up and operate all equipment within the assigned department.
  • Meets or exceeds daily goals set by supervision within the assigned department.
  • Performs accurate weights, measures, and quality checks.
  • Accurately completes all paperwork, neatly and correctly.
  • Cleans and maintains assigned work area and equipment.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attendance and punctuality.
  • Displays a positive attitude and promotes teamwork.
  • Able to follow directions with strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (College coursework preferred).
  • 1 year of production line or industrial manufacturing experience required.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Consistent application of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to accurately troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Leadership ability, including identifying and removing barriers.
  • Effective communication skills, including listening.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is predominantly a highly active role requiring frequent movement and the ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
