Primary Counselor - Per Diem/On Call - Entry Level

What You Will Contribute To The Team

As a Primary Counselor, you will provide crucial therapeutic support to clients by:

• Assessing their needs
• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions
• Implementing individualized behavioral programs
• Working cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team under the supervision of the Program Director
• Offering treatment options
• Helping resolve problems
• Aiding clients in managing stress, mental health challenges, and other life issues
• Maintaining case notes
• Monitoring client progress
• Actively participating in the development of treatment plans

Requirements

• Two years' direct care work experience in an inpatient or outpatient behavioral setting
• Two years of college-level coursework including behavioral health
• A combination of relevant experience and education totaling two years

Nice to Have

• Background education in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, or related fields
