Counselor - Per Diem
Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor needed to assist patients through medically assisted programs and offer techniques for handling opioid addiction.
About the role
Counselor conducts group and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies, evaluates patients’ progress during therapy, and collaborates with doctors, nurses, and therapists for optimal patient treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
- Involve families and significant others in the patient’s recovery process whenever possible
- Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan
- Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Requirements
- Certification or license is required: ADT, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LCPC, LCSW, LGADC, or LCADC from the State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
Pay
Salary ranges from $44,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually. The salary for the selected candidate will be set based on experience, education, specialty, and training.
