About the role
We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our employed physician team as Medical Director of Primary Care at our Bicentennial Highway practice in Springfield, Massachusetts.
- Serve as the clinical leader of an established community primary care practice while remaining clinically active and connected to patients.
- Dedicated protected leadership time to support practice leadership, team development, quality improvement, access, and operational priorities.
- Mentor physicians and APPs while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered practice culture.
- Partner with practice and system leaders to advance patient safety, patient experience, provider engagement, access, and operational excellence.
- Support practice growth through physician and APP recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and retention.
- Champion evidence-based care, consistent clinical standards, team-based care, continuous improvement, and collaboration across Baystate Health.
- Teaching and academic opportunities may be available based on interest and qualifications.

Pay
Salary Range: $247,300–$346,120 (based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees).
Qualifications
- MD or DO; board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Eligible for unrestricted Massachusetts medical licensure.
- Committed to high-quality outpatient primary care and an excellent patient experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest or experience in physician leadership, quality improvement, or practice transformation.
