Primary Care - Internal Medicine (Partners in Internal Medicine) - RN 2 Outpt

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of leadership, provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contribute to unit activities and support the enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services and assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
• Work Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
• Part of the Primary Care Network team providing outpatient services for the adult population 18 years and older.
• Provide services including preventative health maintenance, chronic and acute care needs.
• Be part of a team comprising LPN’s, Ambulatory Techs, Physicians, and APP’s.
• Include responsibilities such as telephone triage, direct patient care, medication/vaccine administration, minor laboratory testing, patient teaching, and health education.
• Maintain strong assessment and communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Supervise LPN’s and Ambulatory Techs as assigned.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in direct nursing care required.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
• Current BLS certification.

• Strong assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Supervisory experience (may be needed).

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
