Primary Care Attending in Outpatient Residency Clinic

About the Role

Augusta Health is seeking a primary care teaching physician to serve as an assistant professor for our outpatient internal medicine residency clinic. We are seeking a board-certified internist or family physician with an interest in graduate medical education and a passion for primary care. This is a great opportunity to engage in an interdisciplinary clinic model while teaching the next generation of internal medicine physicians.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient only, no inpatient hospital responsibilities
• Time evenly divided between direct clinical care and precepting residents in the IM continuity clinic
• Direct clinical care can be at the IM residency clinic, the Augusta Health Mobile clinic, or an Augusta Health community practice
• Teaching responsibilities include precepting and didactic teaching opportunities
• Long-term goal is competency-based education for residents to achieve the ACGME Internal Medicine Milestones

Qualifications

• Candidate Type: MD, DO
• Board-certified internist or family physician
• Interest in graduate medical education and passion for primary care
• Visas accepted: No J-1 or H-1B

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary
• Starting salary: $316,967
• Sign-on bonus: $25,000
• Relocation reimbursement: $10,000 (receipt based)
