Primary Care Assistant MA or LPN - Waterview Park
About the role
Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Waterview Park is seeking Medical Assistants, LPNs, or EMT/Paramedics to join our team. This position offers full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule.
Responsibilities
- Completes advanced standard room process including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliation.
- Works the Encounter Guide to help close care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams.
- Rechecks elevated blood pressures and completes necessary documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.
- Administers vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
- Schedules follow-up appointments according to office policy.
- Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate the care plan.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or GED; must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience in a primary care office; Certified Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA).
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; active LPN license in the state of practice; 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.
